Optional Tour: An exciting excursion to the majestic Abu Simbel temples awaits you. You have the choice of traveling by private coach or taking a domestic flight. Upon arrival in Aswan, our friendly English-speaking tour guide will greet you and escort you in a comfortable private air-conditioned van to Abu Simbel. Located south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile, this ancient site, formerly known as Meha, is situated approximately 180 miles south of the First Cataract in the region of Nubia.

Abu Simbel was first documented in the 18th Dynasty when Ay and Horemheb commissioned rock-cut chapels in the southern hills. Upon reaching the site, you will have the privilege of exploring the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel Temples, constructed by the renowned King Ramses II. The Great Temple, dedicated to the famous god Rahorakhty, is the largest of the two temples. The smaller temple is dedicated to King Ramses II himself and his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.

After an immersive and enlightening tour of Abu Simbel, you will return to Aswan.
